Job summary

Needler's Fresh Market in Tipton, IN is seeking a bakery associate to decorate cakes and other items, assist in bakery duties, and maintain an efficient department.

You will price, wrap, and merchandise products, follow safety guidelines, and assist in receiving, stocking, and stocking displays while offering courteous service to customers. High school diploma or GED preferred, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to quality are required.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cookies, and other items as scheduled or requested.
• Bake and fry duties as assigned by production plan.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise bakery shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products and supplies need ordering.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products per guidelines.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Know products carried in the department and their differences in price, taste, use.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines; guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments; additional responsibilities as needed.
