Job summary

SpartanNash in Niles, Michigan is seeking a Bakery Associate to bake, fry, decorate, package and stock bakery products, follow the production schedule, rotate stock, set up displays and help keep the department well organized and inviting for guests.

You will assist in receiving and stocking merchandise, monitor product freshness, notify the Bakery Manager when supplies need ordering, comply with PPE and food-safety rules, and contribute to a friendly, efficient guest experience in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Detail oriented with good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Bake, fry, decorate, package and stock bakery products per production schedule.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery items and rotate stock.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise bakery shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.
