Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Bakery Associate at our Mishawaka, IN location. You will prepare and produce bakery products, package and label them per program plan, and merchandise items to meet flight and merchandising expectations.

You’ll stock the backroom, assist other departments, follow safety and guest-experience guidelines, and communicate tasks clearly. A High School Diploma (GED) is preferred; one year of retail experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other Associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
