Cake Decorator (Food Services)

Uncle Giuseppe's gourmet bakery is actively seeking a PT Cake Decorator for our Ramsey, NJ Store. This team member will perform duties related to cake, tart, pastry, and special-order decoration. The role involves creating appealing designs on bakery goods and providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Creatively decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
2. Assist with production of bakery products such as parfaits, bars, and cupcakes.
3. Produce in-house products according to daily par levels specified on production sheets.
4. Complete production and spoilage records, adjusting as necessary.
5. Prepare, package, weigh, and price bakery products.
6. Monitor product quality, freshness, and rotation.
7. Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs promptly.
8. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work and shopping environment.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Job Skills:

• Thorough product knowledge and cake decorating skills (including flowers, borders, piping techniques).
• Ability to follow directions and procedures.
• Basic math skills for recipe conversions.
