Job summary

Big Y is seeking a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator at the East Windsor location to deliver an exceptional customer experience by preparing high-quality cakes and baked goods. You will maintain bakery conditions, manage ordering and inventory, and ensure food safety standards while sharing product knowledge with customers.

Ideal candidates are proficient in cake decorating, able to cross-train, and committed to representing Big Y’s culture of caring.

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
