Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. in West Hartford, CT seeks a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator to delight customers with beautiful cakes and fresh baked goods. You will produce high-quality items, maintain department standards, manage ordering and inventory, and uphold food safety policies.

The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by preparing and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator produces high quality cakes and baked goods, maintains department conditions, to include proper ordering, inventory, production, and food safety standards in the Bakery department. The Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator provides product knowledge and expertise to our customers.

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.
