Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Bakery Decorator/Associate at our Carmel, IN location. You will decorate cakes and bakery items, assist in daily bakery duties, and keep the department clean, stocked, and safe for customers.

You’ll work with a team to meet production schedules, apply price tags, and engage in suggestive selling while following safety guidelines and company policies. The role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Detail oriented with strong math and product knowledge.
• Familiarity with bakery products and basic safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cookies, and other items as production schedule and customer requests dictate.
• Baking and frying duties as assigned.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products.
• Maintain and merchandise bakery shelves and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Follow PPE, food safety and cleaning expectations.

Apply now!Location:4755 E 126th St - Carmel, Indiana 46033-2407Position Summary:This role is responsible to decorate cakes and other products; assist in other bakery duties; maintain and operate the bakery department in an efficient manner within company policy; to ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interest of the store.
