Job summary

Hook & Reel in Livonia is seeking a friendly Server to deliver warm, efficient guest experiences in a fast-paced Cajun seafood setting. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, relay specials, and collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely service.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of restaurant experience, valid food and alcohol handler certifications where required, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant experience.
• State-mandated Food Handlers Certification (where applicable).
• State-mandated Alcohol Handlers Certification (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and Hook & Reel brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Listen attentively to guests to ensure correct orders.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Clean and organize the front-of-house server station.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality service and checking in regularly throughout the dining experience.
• Inform management of special requests or guest concerns.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and management regarding allergy orders.
• Maintain a positive, energetic attitude at all times.
• Multi-task and balance between bar and dining room orders.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
