Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Cagewash Technician for our Insourcing Solutions site in Chicago, IL. You will use SOPs and QA standards to perform general housekeeping and routine preventative maintenance on cagewash and autoclaves.

Responsibilities include sanitation and repairing animal caging, keeping facilities clean and organized, assisting with inventory, and preparing records and logs. You will interact with customers to resolve requests and provide technical assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience and/or training working with mechanical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize, maintain, and repair animal caging materials.
• Ensure cagewash and animal holding facilities are kept clean and organized.
• Assist with receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.
• Prepare and submit required written records, charts, logs, and inventories.
• Interact with customers to resolve requests, inquiries, and complaints, and provide technical assistance.
