Rockefeller University in New York, NY seeks a Cagewash Technician to support animal care operations under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing cages and equipment, moving supplies, and maintaining records in a structured, safety-focused environment.

The position requires a High School diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to follow established SOPs. ALAT certification may be pursued after one year of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of autoclaves, automated cage washing machines, conveyors, bedding disposal, bottle fillers, and rack flush stations.
• Able to work with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• English literacy (written and spoken).
• Willing and able to pass the AAALAC ALAT certification after one year.

Responsabilités

• Clean, sanitize, or sterilize caging or equipment using cagewash machines, autoclaves, bottle fillers, and bedding dump stations.
• Dispose of waste in compliance with university and federal/state regulations.
• Minor/preventative maintenance of caging and equipment.
• Movement/delivery of feed/bedding sacks, cages, racks, pans, carts, dollies, and other equipment.
• Adhere to SOPs and participate in safety training.
