• Six months of appropriate work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cage wash operations and area; cleans and sanitizes caging and related equipment.
• Assists with facility housekeeping tasks and loading dock areas.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on cage wash equipment; troubleshoots issues and logs problems and resolutions.
• Maintains inventory of cage-related materials and surplus caging in good condition.
• Assists with care and husbandry needs of laboratory animals following laws and SOPs.
• Operates autoclaves and assists with preparation for sterilization; follows maintenance schedules.
• Attends trainings and meetings for certification and professional development.
