Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Cage Wash Staff member to operate cage wash machinery, sanitize cages and support equipment across animal care areas, and maintain orderly workspaces throughout the facility.

You will follow established procedures for cleaning, decontamination, and record-keeping, assist in training staff, monitor equipment for proper function and safety, and communicate issues promptly to ensure compliant, high-quality animal care across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cage wash machinery to sanitize cages and support equipment.
• Participate in cleaning, maintenance and decontamination of cage wash facility and other assigned areas.
• Record information in logs and report discrepancies.
• Assist in training staff in general procedures and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
