Job summary

The Rockefeller University is seeking a Cage Wash Attendant to support animal care operations through sanitation and facilities maintenance. This role reports to the Operations Lead and requires hands-on work in a busy cage wash area.

Responsibilities include operating cage-wash machinery, maintaining clean facilities, and assisting with routine maintenance and supply restocking. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS include HS Diploma/GED.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to push or pull weight bearing wheeled carts weighing ~500 lbs and lift ~50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in the cage wash area, including laundry, autoclaves, equipment washers, and hoists.
• Maintain clean hallways by removing dirty equipment to the cage-wash area and restocking autoclave supplies.
• Contribute to waste collection, mopping floors, changing light bulbs, and fulfilling requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
