MGM Springfield is seeking a Casino Cage Cashier to join our bustling gaming floor in Springfield, Massachusetts. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of high-volume cash handling experience in a casino or banking environment and a high school diploma or GED.

The role requires accurate processing of transactions, chip and marker handling, cashing checks, redeeming chips, and providing exceptional guest service. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in high-volume cash handling.
• Must be able to pass a basic math test.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform frontline entry level transactions, chip bank transactions, poker transactions, cage credit transactions and employee bank/window transactions.
• Perform functions in a marker/IOU bank as well as High Limit cage; may also service patron Kiosk/TRU units and employee Recycler/JetSafe units.
• Cash all types of checks for patrons within the specified guidelines.
• Redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out) and Race and Sports tickets for patrons.
• Conduct both Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accounts.
• Redeem all acceptable types of foreign currencies.
• Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets.
• Complete electronic multiple transaction logs accurately, complete transaction logs manually, when necessary.
• Assist patrons with general information upon request.
• Issue or surrender safety deposit boxes.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

PAY RATE AND BENEFITS

Pay Rate The rate for this role is: $18.75 This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. The estimated annual tips this role could reasonably be anticipated to receive is: $0 - $2,200. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
