Job summary

Landry's, LLC. in Las Vegas is seeking a Cage Cashier to assist customers with currency exchanges, chip transactions, and cash handling.

You will issue markers, process deposits and transfers, and maintain accurate cash and document records in a fast-paced gaming environment. The role requires strong math, excellent English communication, and compliance with policy and regulatory guidelines, including Nevada Gaming Registration.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public clearly.
• Knowledge of 10-key balancing of banks.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate with guests and staff in English for duties.

Responsibilities

• Sell and redeem casino chips and coin for cash and other items.
• Issuance and redemption of markers and customer deposits/withdrawals.
• Cashing checks using computer terminals and maintaining document inventory.
• Redeem slot tickets and customer vouchers; process airfares.
• Prepare reports, balance funds and verify cash and chip inventory.
• Create new computer accounts and issue 24 Karat player rating cards.
• Report and log Title 31 transactions.
• Prepare bank deposits and accounting reports; balance funds.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Overview

To assist customers in the exchange of U. S. currency for chips, cash, foreign currency, GNLV documents and negotiable instruments, ambassadors of company good will. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Sale and redemption of casino chips and/or coin for cash, foreign chips, GNLV chips and other “like money” items in a timely manner as requested by customers.
• Issuance and redemption of markers and customer deposit/withdrawals for cash, chips, checks and/or wire transfers.
• Cashing of checks for cash utilizing computer terminals, credit card advances, maintaining inventory of documents and negotiable instruments.
• Redemption of slot tickets and customer promotion vouchers and airfare.
• Prepare reports, assignment of company funds and recordation of departmental revenues, verification of cash, coin, documents and chip inventory (removal and rotation).
• Establish new computer accounts issuing 24 Karat player rating cards and process document requirements for credit, check cashing with policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions.
• Prepare bank deposits, accounting reports, research projects and balancing assigned funds.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear friendly manner.
• Knowledge of 10 key, balancing of banks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
• Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year Cage Cashier, banking experience or heavy cash handling.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
