Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking a Cage Cashier to assist customers in exchanging currency for casino chips and other transactions. This role involves managing petty cash, processing monetary transactions, and maintaining accurate logs within a fast-paced casino environment.

Responsibilities include balancing banks, delivering courteous service, and handling Title 31 reporting. A sign-on bonus is offered and the position is full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of cash handling experience; six months cage cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public clearly.
• Knowledge of 10-key and balancing of banks.
• Solid decision-making, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum age 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Control and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank and check bank.
• Deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions.
• Responsible for the impress bank issued.
• Performs guest and in-house monetary transactions.
• Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, F&B and Hotel employees.
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions.

This position is in a shared Tip Pool anf earns and average of $5.50 per hour additional wages.

$750 Sign on Bonus:

• $100 after 30 days
• $200 after 60 days
• $450 after 90 days

A Cage Cashier is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of U.S. currency for casino chips, credit chips, cash, foreign currency, Golden Nugget documents, negotiable instruments, and ambassadors of company good will. This role also sells gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to casino patrons, pay out jackpots and manages credit applications.

• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
• Responsible for the impress bank issued

• Report and log all Title 31 transactions
