Job summary

Riverside School District 96 is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Worker at Hauser Jr. High School. Responsibilities include serving pre-packaged items, monitoring temperatures, labeling, and keeping areas clean. Must have a high school diploma or GED; obtain an Illinois Food Service Sanitation License within 30 days. Benefits include health and dental insurance; 3.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Illinois Food Service Sanitation License required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and serve pre-packaged food items according to established procedures and portion control standards.
• Set out milk cartons for lunch on chilled areas.
• Assure proper temperature of foods and record according to schedule.
• Label and date open food products to ensure proper storage and rotation of food and leftovers.
• Track food for daily production logs.
• Maintain and report low supply of condiments, food items and paper goods to the Food Service Manager.
• Follow established health, safety and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance.
• Maintain food serving area, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition - maintain log.
• Able to lift and move milk crates (up to 25lb).
• Other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment: 3.5 hours per day

Salary: $17.26 hourly
