Job summary

The role requires strong leadership, teamwork, and knowledge of school food service programs; hours are early morning, with nine months of assignment and district benefits. The individual will collaborate with the Manager of Food & Nutrition and report to Human Resources.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of school food service programs, nutritional standards, and sanitation.
• Accurate and detail oriented in processing paperwork.
• Possess strong communication skills, customer service.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of 10 key calculator
• Demonstrates professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare main dishes and vegetables using standardized recipes and methods.
• Assist with determining quantities of food and supplies to order.
• Maintain daily production records and general cleanup duties.
• Assist cafeteria manager and act as BACKUP MANAGER when needed.
• Provide open, positive communication with staff and students served by the food service department.
• Attend trainings and meetings as requested, follow building procedures.
• Work flexible hours and maintain regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
