Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a food service worker to prepare and cook foods for patients, employees and catering functions, including measuring and mixing ingredients and monitoring cooking temps. You will participate in assembling and serving patient and non-patient meals, stock and serve trays, and support the cafeteria during functions, while keeping areas clean and orderly.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and food service experience; physical work includes lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in food service setting preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks foods for patients, employees and catering functions, including measuring and mixing ingredients, adjusting thermostats, monitoring food at all levels.
• Participates in the assembly and service of patient and non-patient meals, including stocking and serving trays, taking temperatures, and serving in cafeteria and special functions.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes and pots.
• Operates and maintains cash register with accurate balance.
• Sets up and replenishes salad bar and maintains cafeteria cleanliness.
• Provides patient service related clerical duties.
• Assists in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Verbalizes ages of patients served and applies appropriately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
