Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Noon Duty Aide to support staff and students during lunch periods. You will monitor activities, help with cafeteria setup, and assist children throughout the lunch session.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators in a busy school environment. The role is part-time and in person with flexible school hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion.
• Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period.
• Make sure each child received utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
• Assure that children empty their trays when finished.
• Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time.
• Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria.
• Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.
