Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Noon Duty Aide to supervise students and support cafeteria operations during lunch periods. The role requires arriving 30 minutes before first lunch and staying 30 minutes after to ensure cleanliness and order, and assisting children throughout the session.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators in a fast-paced school

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion.
• Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period.
• Make sure each child received utensils, milk, juice and other supplies.
• Assure that children empty their trays when finished.
• Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time.
• Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria.
• Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.
