CAFETERIA MONITOR

LOCATION: Burton Elementary School

REPORTS TO: Principal

DEPARTMENT: Elementary

Hours / Work Times

2 Hours Per Day (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

190 Days Per Year (180 student days/10 holidays)

A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within45 days of hire. Only courses with a "hands-on" component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.

This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after09/24/26.

Position Duration: Permanent

Classification Group: Paraeducator Class I

Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the supervision of the building Principal, the Cafeteria Monitor is responsible for supervising and monitoring students in the cafeteria as well as when they enter and leave the cafeteria area. The Cafeteria Monitor may also be required to supervise students outside during recess.
