Job summary

Johnson House School is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Monitor to supervise students during meals and assist with cleanup and flow of service. Work is performed under the Cafeteria Supervisor.

Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, communicating professionally with students and staff, assisting with recycling and cleanliness, and helping dismiss classes on schedule. This role requires physical ability and reliability, with training sessions and occasional duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Physically able to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed.
• Effective communication skills.

• Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
• Dismisses classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time.
• Encourage good table manners.
• Participates in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
