Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with substantial institutional food service experience, including managerial duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the receipt, storage, warming and serving of daily food.
• Coordinate with central kitchen to organize deliveries and resolve problems.
• Plan cost-effective food service programs including ordering and inventory.
• Order supplies from central kitchen or vendors for direct-delivery items.
• Supervise food service, storage and cashiering operations.
• Participate in internal and State Department of Health sanitation inspections.
• Train staff, assign and inspect work, conduct evaluations, and maintain records.
• Work with schools and community groups for special events.
• Represent the school with community and parents.
• Handle heavy objects up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Work in warm, noisy environments and follow safety precautions.
