Job summary

The Anchorage School District is seeking an Elementary School Cafeteria Manager II to oversee daily meal preparation, safety, and compliance at ASD facilities.

You will manage inventories, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure NSLP requirements are met while upholding state and federal guidelines. The role offers a stable schedule within a 9-month work year and a wage of $20.14 to $21.19 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of related work may substitute.
• One year of food service experience in general food preparation, handling, sanitation.
• Proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage food and supply inventories, ordering and records.
• Ensure meals are prepared on schedule for a projected number of students.
• Monitor HACCP temperatures and heating/cooling times.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate cafeteria staff.
• Coordinate timecards and leave with supervisor.
• Maintain NSLP compliance and accurate records.
• Submit maintenance requests as needed.
