Job summary

Westover Job Corps Center/ETR is seeking a Lead Cook to supervise cafeteria operations, prepare meals, and ensure compliance with local, state, and national food safety rules. You will manage serving lines, monitor temperatures, and support daily meal service for students and staff.

The role requires at least 2 years in a food service setting, a high school diploma or GED, and serve-safe certification (or ability to obtain). Shift work may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of cafeteria/food service experience.
• Serve-Safe certification or ability to be certified.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees cafeteria during assigned shift and prepares meals.
• Ensures serving lines are set up on time and staff are prepared.
• Maintains food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
• Monitors temperatures and conducts HACCP records.
• Keeps inventory and reports on food service activities.
• Directs students assigned to serving line and supports daily operations.
