Job summary

Shore Lodge is seeking a Commis to assist the chefs across eight outlets, rotating through stations and learning all required culinary skills. You will perform prep tasks, follow safety standards, and help maintain organization and cleanliness in a busy kitchen.

The role requires ability to read recipes, participate in sanitation programs, and communicate with the team to ensure efficient operations. Training supports growth in a dynamic resort kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalency required; vocational culinary training preferred.
• Ability to work in a hot kitchen with safety protocols and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chefs in all duties across outlets and stations.
• Complete prep lists by end of shift and ensure opening/closing procedures are set for next shift.
• Monitor refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation.
• Participate in sanitation and safety education programs.
• Read and understand banquet BEO and assist with mise-en-place.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers to ensure smooth service.
