Job summary

Paris ISD is seeking a Substitute Food Service Manager to lead cafeteria operations. The role requires overseeing daily kitchen and serving activities, supervising campus staff, and ensuring compliance with nutrition and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating purchases, and supporting training. The position starts immediately and requires a High School diploma or GED, with food manager certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation.
• Ability to manage personnel and coordinate cafeteria operations.
• Effective planning, organization, and the ability to read and follow multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Attend in-service training and workshops to meet professional standards.
• Direct daily kitchen and cafeteria activities; supervise and train campus staff.
• Maintain documentation: production records, inventory, time cards, payroll-related records, and deliveries.
• Ensure food safety and high-quality standards; manage serving schedules and menu adherence.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and inventories; screen and train cafeteria workers.
