Meriwether Godsey is hiring a Cafeteria/Food Services Associate for temporary work at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA. The role offers shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends, with pay of $14–$15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
• Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria area; assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly store food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Keep cafeteria areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
