Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a cafeteria food service worker to assemble, portion, label and restock foods for the cafeteria. You will serve customers, maintain sanitation, and assist in training other staff. The role operates Monday through Friday with weekends, on a mixed shift, in Worcester, MA.

The position offers non-exempt status with a signing bonus potential and the chance to contribute to exceptional patient care within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to follow standardized instructions and procedures.
• Reads, writes and speaks English.
• Understands basic weights and measures.
• Understands basic mathematical functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares area for food serving and sets up serving stations.
• Serves food in prescribed quantities according to standards.
• Takes temperatures during service and informs production if items run low.
• Stocks supplies and maintains sanitation and cleanliness of cafeteria.
• Operates cash register, processes payments and closes out transactions.
