Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to join our Culinary Services team. At the Pizza Station you will prepare and serve food to patients, visitors and staff, with weekend shifts at the Deli Station alongside the team.

No prior food service experience is required—we train you. You’ll follow recipes, food safety practices and provide friendly service, helping create a welcoming environment in a fast-paced cafeteria.

Qualifications

• No prior food service experience required; training provided.
• Reliable and punctual; works well in a team.
• Able to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication with coworkers and customers.
• Willing to learn new tasks and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food at the Pizza Station following recipes and safety guidelines.
• Assist with pizza production including prep, cooking, portioning, stocking, and maintaining food levels.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to staff, visitors and patients.
• Work at the Deli Station on weekends assisting with food prep, stocking and service.
• Operate a cash register and process transactions as assigned.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and stocked.
