Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to join our Culinary Services team. You’ll work at the Pizza Station preparing and serving food to patients, visitors, staff, and others, with weekend shifts at the Deli Station.

You’ll gain skills in food prep, safety, and customer service in a hospital setting. This is a full-time role with a 40-hour work week and a pay range of $16.50–$28.88 per hour, plus eligibility for additional compensation differentials and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• No previous food service experience required; we’ll train the right person.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn established recipes and food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages at the Pizza Station following recipes and safety procedures.
• Assist with pizza production and deli item preparation, stocking, and portioning.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and other customers.
• Operate a cash register and process customer transactions.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Follow HACCP and infection prevention standards.
