Job summary

Texarkana ISD is seeking a skilled Maintenance worker for the Child Nutrition facilities. The role focuses on routine maintenance and repair to ensure safe, efficient operation of all cafeterias and equipment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least five years of experience in commercial plant operations. This is a full-time, on-site position in Texarkana, TX, with hourly pay starting at $19.33 and rising to $28.12 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic techniques of repair and new installation of equipment (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, gas-fired equipment, etc.).
• Ability to operate tools and equipment common to assigned area.
• Ability to read maintenance repair booklet(s) on cafeteria equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow routine maintenance and repair procedures for assigned areas to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency of all cafeterias and equipment.
