Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City is seeking a Cafeteria Associate to deliver friendly, efficient food service in our Main Cafeteria. As a Cafeteria Associate, you'll play an important role in supporting daily food service operations by providing outstanding customer service, preparing and serving food, maintaining clean and organized workstations, and helping create a positive dining experience for everyone who visits our Main Cafeteria.

Role Overview:

• Provide quality food service to patients, staff, and visitors in our Main Cafeteria with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Set up, maintain, and break down workstations, including equipment, serving ware, utensils, supplies, and food items to ensure smooth meal service.
• Prepare or serve food and beverages to patrons, process transactions using a cash register, and maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
• Utilize grill and short-order cooking skills to create quick, delicious meals.

• A Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus.
• At least one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

Additional Information:

• Location: 1275 York Ave (NYC Sites)
• Schedule: Various shifts available Monday - Friday, 4:30AM - 12:30AM, including rotating weekends. Holidays required.
• Report to: Manager, Retail Food Service
