Job summary

Berkeley Bowl is seeking a friendly Café Associate to provide prompt, accurate service and help operate the cafe to meet department goals. You will fill customer orders, rotate stock by date, keep signage current, and assist with special requests while maintaining hygienic prep and display areas.

Following CURFFL and HACCP food-safety guidelines, you will report shortages to the supervisor and participate in opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Safety certification preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders in a prompt, friendly manner.
• Report customer suggestions and complaints to Café supervisor.
• Stock cafe cases and displays and rotate items by date.
• Maintain sanitary, organized prep and storage areas.
• Follow CURFFL and HACCP food-safety guidelines.
• Open and close café procedures.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders.
