Job summary

Berkeley Bowl is seeking a team member to provide accurate, prompt, and friendly service for online orders and assist in E-Shop operations to meet department goals.

You will fill customer orders, pack for pickup/delivery, contact customers about replacements, and help with questions, suggestions, and complaints while maintaining sanitation and stock levels. Flexibility including nights/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Familiarity with diets, food sensitivities and allergies.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Pack orders for pickup and delivery; use refrigeration/freezers when needed.
• Contact customers regarding replacement options.
• Assist customers with questions, suggestions, and complaints.
• Report customer feedback to Supervisor and maintain sanitary packing areas.
• Clean spills and follow food safety regulations (CURFFL/HACCP).
• Restock supplies and report out-of-stocks; operate department equipment safely.
• Inform Supervisor of equipment repair needs and follow opening/closing procedures.

Job description

To provide accurate, prompt & friendly service to Berkeley Bowl’s online customers, and assist in operations of E-Shop to help meet department goals.

Responsibilities

Fill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Pack orders for pickup and delivery in an organized manner, utilizing refrigeration and freezers when necessary.

Contact customers regarding replacement options.

Assist customers with questions, suggestions, and complaints.

Report customer suggestions, comments, and complaints to Supervisor.

Maintain packing and order storage areas in sanitary and orderly condition, following established procedures.

Clean up spills.

Follow food safety and sanitation regulations maintaining correct temperatures of hot or cold food products, according to CURFFL and HACCP.

Restock department supplies when needed.

Report out-of-stocks to Supervisor.

Use department equipment safely and as intended.

Advise Supervisor of equipment repair needs. Carry out established opening and closing procedures.

Knowledge & Skills

Basic math skills required Familiarity with diets, food sensitivities and allergies. Understanding of written and spoken English Handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education & Training

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Pay Range

$19.61 - $29.50 per hour
