Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi seeks a Steward to support a clean, efficient Blues Café environment and ensure an exceptional dining experience for employees. You will monitor kitchen cleanliness, assist with prep and service, and handle dishes and utensils in accordance with applicable laws while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork.

The role requires reliability, ability to follow instructions, and lifting up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced, health-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in food service industry required.
• Organized and able to handle a variety of duties.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be able to follow instruction.
• Able to lift and carry 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• The Steward is responsible for providing quality support to ensure an exceptional dining experience for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi employees.
• Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of the Blues Café kitchen, prep and dining areas, equipment, dishes and utensils in accordance with State and Local Laws.
• The Steward functions as a team player and key support position and provides prompt, courteous service that exemplifies the Company’s commitment to Health & Wellness and Excellence.
