Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a diligent Kitchen Steward to support the culinary team in Starkville, Mississippi. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area, washing utensils and dishes, stocking supplies, and assisting with basic food prep under the Head Chef’s direction.

Ideal candidates have restaurant dishwashing experience (preferred), the ability to pass a background check, and a basic food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of commercial dishwasher operations.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes by dishwasher or by hand.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• May assist with food preparation duties as directed by Head Chef/Sous Chef.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and maintain a positive attitude with coworkers and customers.
