Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented member to support prepared food merchandise, learn product specs, and educate fellow associates at the Arvada location. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The candidate will prepare food per specifications, manage inventory, and leverage digital tools to improve customer experience and drive sales while delivering strong service to members.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) - Certification

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; educates associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicates effectively with the team.
• Be an Expert: Prepares food according to item specifications; plans future productions and mass productions; ensures seasonality readiness; adheres to food safety standards and sanitation guidelines; operates and sanitizes equipment; understands product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses handheld tech for production decisions, ordering, club pick-ups, training and product quality with the member in mind.
• Be an Owner: Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date control; eliminates waste; assists members with purchases; handles payments and locations; resolves issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate; inspires others to work respectfully and as a team.
• Complies with policies, procedures, and ethics; follows Open Door Policy; applies in business processes and practices.
• Completes tasks by using policies, data, and resources; communicates progress; identifies improvements and adapts to change.
