Sweet Lemon Kitchen is seeking a dependable, energetic Assistant Manager to help lead daily café operations and support the AGM in delivering a welcoming guest experience. You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling, inventory, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures while upholding high standards for coffee, food, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café/food-service or hospitality setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, train, and support a team.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure smooth, efficient service during peak and non-peak hours.
• Provide friendly, professional, and welcoming customer service.
• Assist with preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, teas, pastries, and cafe menu items.
• Train, coach, and support baristas, cashiers, and cafe team members.
• Maintain standards for beverage quality, food presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and adjust operations to improve experiences.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily task assignments.
• Help with inventory management: ordering, receiving, stocking, rotating products.
• Follow proper cash handling, POS, and deposit procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
