Job Summary

The Café Retail Manager will oversee café retail operations within a healthcare setting, ensuring efficient daily operations, staff management, financial stewardship, and superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks.
• Handle all aspects of staff management.
• Manage financials, including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of the marketplace and trends.
• Control costs and manage expenditures for the account.
• Oversee sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s).
• Purchase and manage inventory.
• Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary teams.
• Act as the direct liaison with the client.

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience.
• Three or more years of supervisory experience in food service operations.
• Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, or retirement environment desirable.
• Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, e‑mail, the Internet, and other necessary programs.
• ServSafe® Certified.
