Job summary

Moody Gardens is seeking a Server Assistant to help set up and clear tables, stock service stations, and assist servers with dining service. You will ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and timely service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reliability, basic knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to communicate in English. Certification in TABC and Food Handlers is required before starting work.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Must obtain TABC & Food Handlers Certification prior to starting work.
• Must be reliable and responsible.
• Knowledge of proper table settings and service ware.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Clear dirty tables and reset tables quickly and consistently.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of service stations for all meal periods.
• Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter and replenish as needed.
• Transport dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area.
• Fold napkins to maintain an adequate supply throughout the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB SUMMARY:The Server Assistant is authorized to set up and clear tables, stock all service stations, and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.POSITION AUTHORITY:The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below.POSITION GUIDELINES:Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.
