Job summary

French Truck Coffee in Baton Rouge is seeking a Cafe Manager to lead the team and run the cafe—from scheduling and labor to inventory, safety, cleanliness, quality, and outstanding guest service.

You’ll coach and develop staff, set weekly schedules, manage attendance, oversee ordering, and partner with the Operations Manager to hit safety, productivity, and guest-experience goals; you’ll drive training programs from planning to implementation and foster a hands-on, accountable culture.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of management experience in food and beverage.
• One year of operations management experience in food service, hospitality, or food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• ServSafe certification is preferred and must be obtained within six months if you don’t already have it.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house and kitchen teams, build weekly schedules, manage attendance, and oversee ordering and inventory.
• Hit safety, quality, productivity, and labor goals in partnership with the Operations Manager.
• Conduct facility inspections and organize monthly team meetings.
• Ensure training programs are implemented, not just on a checklist.
• Foster a team environment built on accountability, respect, and a bit of fun.
