Job description

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-inspired resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops, and a state-of-the-art convention center.

We are inviting you to apply for the Restaurant Line Cook position. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the restaurant Chef in the preparation and completion of food items. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting in the preparation of food items for all restaurant meals.
  2. Visually inspecting all food products to ensure they meet the quality standards set out by departmental and resort management.
  3. Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.

We require a background consisting of 2-3 years of progressive experience as a culinary graduate and/or a minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel restaurant/food outlet facility or related field. State or local law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification. Serv Safe Certification is preferred.
