Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in New Jersey is seeking a Café Manager to lead shifts, coach team members, and ensure hospitality aligns with our brand standards.

This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining product quality, and developing staff through on-the-job training, with a path toward Assistant General Manager.

The Café Manager will work a flexible schedule, stand for long periods, and contribute to a positive, results-driven café environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and station setup
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Model authentic, warm hospitality and coach team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Bring Tatte's Brand Purpose, Mission, and Values to life while upholding all company policies
• Support execution of operational standards, food safety, product quality, and service excellence
• Lead shifts by deploying team members, managing operations, and providing real-time coaching and feedback
• Ensure beverage, bakery, and savory products meet recipe and presentation standards
• Navigate guest and team member concerns professionally and effectively
• Support onboarding and ongoing development of new team members through company training programs
• Maintain strong knowledge of products, ingredients, allergens, and food safety practices
• Complete administrative responsibilities including cash management, ordering, time clock verification, and safety audits
• Other duties as assigned
