The ideal candidate will thrive in a high‑volume environment, be highly organized, people‑focused, and passionate about hospitality, coffee, food, and team culture. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching in real time, solving problems, and helping build a café culture that thrives on innovation, best‑in‑class hospitality, and exceptional food and beverage offerings.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
  • Manage day‑to‑day café operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift execution, service flow, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
  • Ensure the café is fully prepared for each day of service, including proper staffing, product availability, station setup, and equipment readiness.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, food safety, and presentation throughout the café.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and support baristas, shift leads, and support staff with clarity, respect, and consistency.
  • Help hire, onboard, train, and develop team members.
  • Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, hospitality, and pride in the work.
  • Conduct pre‑shift check‑ins, provide real‑time feedback, and help ensure team members understand expectations and standards.
Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and excellent service.
  • Respond to guest feedback with professionalism, urgency, and care.
  • Model hospitality on the floor by engaging guests, supporting the team, and creating a welcoming environment.
Coffee, Food, and Product Standards
  • Maintain quality standards for coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, food items, retail products, and catering/order pickups.
  • Ensure recipes, product specifications, and presentation standards are followed consistently.
  • Work with company leadership to support menu rollouts, seasonal offerings, pastry programs, and café improvements.
Inventory and Cost Control
  • Manage inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, pastries, food, paper goods, retail products, and supplies.
  • Place and receive orders, inspect deliveries, and communicate vendor or product issues quickly.
  • Help control waste, manage stock levels, and protect margins through strong ordering and inventory practices.
Financial and Administrative Support
  • Support sales growth, cost control, labor management, and daily financial procedures.
  • Oversee cash handling, deposits, end‑of‑day reconciliations, and POS accuracy.
  • Assist leadership with reporting, scheduling, payroll review, and operational planning as needed.
Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with health department standards, food safety guidelines, labor laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for guests and staff.
  • Address equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Experience managing daily operations in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of coffee, espresso drinks, food service, and café operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑oriented during busy service periods.
  • Experience with POS systems, scheduling tools, inventory systems, and basic reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional special events.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, move quickly during service, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
