Job summary

Bon Appetit is seeking a Café Manager to lead the MIT cafe, ensuring standards of excellence and supervising Unite Here Local 26 associates while supporting financial responsibilities. The role requires coaching staff, planning events, maintaining sanitation, managing the cafe within budget, and driving strong operational performance across food service activities at a contract dining site.

A Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of relevant cafe or dining operations experience are preferred; ServSafe

• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.

Job Summary

The Cafe Manager will be responsible for the management of a Cafe at MIT at ensuring the standards of excellence are met. They will supervise UNITE Here Local 26 associates and support financial responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet

ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
