Job summary

Mountainside Café in Falls Village, CT is seeking a Line Cook to support the Head Chef and deliver high-quality meals for clients, staff, and events.

The role requires prep work, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and team collaboration. Schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 6:15 am–4:00 pm, with full-time hours and a chance to grow within a dynamic culinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous cook experience required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare from daily prep list and responsibilities of cooking and ensure timely execution of each meal.
• Exhibit great organizational skills while providing direction to clients.
• Lead by example and assist in cleaning projects when applicable.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress code.
• Learn, follow and enforce company policies, kitchen procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Comply fully with all Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Assist and share in other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Head Chef, General Manager or their representative.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, sweep, mop and empty trash when needed.

Cafe Line Cook

Mountainside Cafe - Falls Village, CT

About the Position

Mountainside Café is currently seeking a Line Cook.The Line Cook will prepare food for clients, employees, and special functions at the highest quality. This position assists the Head Chef in executing the menu and maintaining a safe/sanitary kitchen environment. The Line Cook will work in harmony with Café Management, ensuring meals are prepared to the best of their ability and meet the standards of Mountainside.

Schedule

Full-Time Schedule, Wednesday through Sunday, varying hours between 6:15 am and 4:00 pm

Your Role

Compensation

The rate of pay for this position is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
