Eataly is opening its first Eataly Caffè in New York and seeks a Café Lead to embody hospitality and Italian coffee culture. The role spans front-of-house and back-of-house duties, ensuring high-quality menu items, cleanliness, and safety while guiding shift administration and opening/closing tasks.

Ideal candidates bring café supervision experience, strong communication, and a passion for exceptional service in a bustling retail and culinary environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supervising a café or quick service operation.
• Experience and knowledge in coffee/food production and BOH management.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and can stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations to ensure guest service, employee practices, operational efficiency, and health and safety standards.
• Leads by example to motivate and train Caffe Team Members.
• Manages labor, costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising to optimize operations.
• Operates the POS system and ensures accuracy of cash drops.
