Tin Roof Bakery & Cafe in Chico, CA is seeking a passionate Cafe Lead to guide our team and deliver an exceptional guest experience daily. This fast-paced café thrives on great food, superb coffee, and rewarding teamwork.

You will lead daily shifts, ensure smooth operations, and maintain high standards of service and safety while coaching staff, preparing espresso beverages and cafe menu items, and upholding our warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a barista in a café, coffee shop, or food service environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong barista skills and knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee drinks.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support café staff during daily shifts to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, and café menu items.
• Provide outstanding customer service and foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Open and/or close the café, including cash handling, drawer reconciliation, and securing the premises.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Train and mentor team members on café standards, recipes, and customer service best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café and prep areas.
• Assist in coordinating daily workflow and delegating tasks to team members.
